Why I Do This Work
My path to somatic work began not through study alone, but through lived experience. Like many, I spent years functioning well on the outside while feeling disconnected, overwhelmed, or subtly unsafe in my own body.
I discovered that understanding my thoughts was not enough. My body was holding stories my mind could not resolve. Through somatic and body-based practices, I learned how to listen differently. Not to fix or override what I felt, but to meet it with curiosity, patience, and care.
Over time, this way of working changed how I related to myself. I felt more present, more grounded, and more able to respond to life rather than push through it. What surprised me most was how gentle the process could be. Healing did not require force or reliving the past. It required safety, pacing, and permission.
This is the foundation of my work today. I create spaces to slow down, reconnect with your body, and rediscover self-trust through somatic embodiment. Spaces where nothing needs to be proven and everything is met as it is.

Frequently asked questions
Is somatic work safe?
Yes. My work is trauma-informed, slow-paced, and choice-led. Participants are always encouraged to listen to their body and only engage in what feels supportive. There is no pressure to share, move, or participate in any specific way.
Do I need previous experience with somatic practice?
No previous experience is needed. All practices are guided gently and are accessible for beginners as well as those familiar with body-based work.
Will I have to talk about my personal experiences or trauma?
No. Somatic practice does not require retelling personal stories or trauma. Sharing is always optional. Much of the work happens through body awareness, breath, and sensation rather than words.
What if I feel emotional during a session?
Emotional responses are a natural part of somatic work. You are supported to move at your own pace, with grounding and regulation practices woven throughout. There is no expectation to “release” or express anything before you are ready.
Is somatic work the same as therapy?
Somatic practice is not talk therapy, though it can complement therapeutic work. It focuses on nervous system regulation and embodied awareness rather than analysis or diagnosis.
Is this like yoga or meditation?
While somatic practice may include gentle movement or stillness, it is different from yoga or meditation. The emphasis is on internal awareness, nervous system safety, and responding to the body, not on poses, flexibility, or performance.
Who is this work for?
My work is especially supportive for women who feel overwhelmed, disconnected from their body, emotionally stuck, or drawn to healing that is gentle, embodied, and relational.
